What changed, what was hard, and what comes next, written from the merged work rather than from memory.
The priority moved to Stardust and this site: get more people to find the games, play them, and come back with friends.
- The homepage now leads with Stardust and a Play button, with the current times to beat.
- The game tells you plainly when a time wasn't saved and why, instead of failing quietly.
- Dogfight guests got smoother movement. Their own ship responding immediately, instead of waiting on the host, arrives with the next relay update.
- Rolling out: friends, challenge links you can send back and forth, medals (17, 19 and 21 seconds for gold, silver and bronze on each circuit), a handful of silly achievements, and a playtest lab for trying new boost, fuel and rail rules before any of them become real.
Next: a friend playtest of all of that, a better after-match lobby for Dogfight, and a custom track.
EARLIER NOTES
Short entries from the project history. Dates are when the work merged.
· Stardust grows up. Five named circuits, mobile controls, accounts, live leaderboards, saved runs, and Dogfight: one-on-one first, then interactive maps and casual three-player matches through a public relay.
· Kingdoms & Caravans playtest. A city-building friend playtest with real screenshots and a Windows download. Building its infrastructure turned out to be the slow part.
· BetterFingers v1.1.0-alpha.1 prepared, and the website started reading each project's facts from its own repository.
· Infinite Ages Evolved got a web portal, a game-master command center, worldbuilding tools and character creation.
· BetterFingers hardening sprint. Two weeks of security, privacy and reliability work: verified downloads, safer wipes, crash-recoverable sends, hardware-aware installs and a green CI across Windows and Linux.
· BetterFingers moves to Electron. The rebuild that the alpha grew out of.
