Intended scope
The intended product may eventually cover:
- combine and split documents;
- reorder, rotate, and delete pages;
- compression and conversion;
- forms and signatures;
- redaction;
- OCR; and
- text-to-speech.
That list is a product direction, not a list of available features.
Implemented scope
The current public material does not establish which of those functions are implemented in a usable build. No current release, source repository, supported-platform statement, test-document set, or end-to-end demonstration is linked from this page. The implemented subset is therefore not proven.
Limitations and next proof
Do not use PDFManager as a replacement for a subscription PDF product yet. Before a public alpha, the project needs a product dossier, a real build, documented document-handling and privacy behavior, supported platforms, recovery behavior, screenshots, test documents, a complete demonstration, source, and its MIT license file.
PDFManager belongs to underplain's free-of-charge, source-available, MIT-licensed model when published. It will not use a crippled paid edition or hide document ownership behind a subscription tier.
